Career

Early Career

Halim began her career in finance in the early 2000s. She worked as an Equity Research Analyst at Banc of America Securities from approximately January 2001 to January 2003. Following this role, she joined Bear Stearns, where she served as a Vice President in Asset Management from August 2005 to August 2008, which served as a basis for later work in the cryptocurrency industry. ^[2]​

BNP Paribas

In March 2011, Halim joined the global bank BNP Paribas, where she spent over 12 years in various senior positions. She initially served as a Managing Director and Senior Banker for Financial Institutions until March 2019. In this capacity, she was responsible for managing a portfolio of banks and finance companies based in New York, focusing on client strategy, relationship management, and product origination for U.S. financial institutions. ^[2] During her tenure at the bank, Halim also held the role of Chief of Staff to the CEO of the Americas, which included a position on the region's executive committee. ^{[4] [1]}​

From March 2019, Halim's focus shifted towards technology and innovation within the bank. Her responsibilities included researching emerging technologies like blockchain and artificial intelligence and building relationships with the external fintech ecosystem.
