GamerHash AI is a distributed-computing platform that uses consumer PC GPUs for AI workloads. It began as a mining platform in 2017, and cryptocurrency mining ended on January 31, 2026. GamerHash AI provides GPU computing power for AI marketplaces and supports AI inference using consumer-grade hardware.[10][2]

GamerHash AI pools computing capacity from consumer-grade GPUs in gaming PCs for AI inference. The network connects contributors who provide computing capacity with projects that need it.
The company describes large language model (LLM) sharding as a mechanism for processing extensive models across multiple GPUs.[1] The platform offers rewards to contributors for sharing GPU capacity.[1]
GamerHash launched its Miner App in 2017, allowing users to earn from idle PC time. The company reports that 150,000 users joined within months and that its community had doubled by mid-2018. The app automated wallet management, algorithm selection, and payout thresholds.[10]
The first version of the GamerHash AI App rolled out internally in 2023, running text and image generation on users’ GPUs. In March 2024, the app became public with an AI Image Generator module. During 2024, it added text and image models, an AI Image Booster, a web LLM for the GamerHash community, and the GHXP Boost mechanic for GHX holders.[10]
In 2025, the AI App added image-to-video and text-to-video features, and GamerHash opened its public developer compute API to the network through an OpenAI-compatible API. The API later gained a developer playground and an official n8n integration. The company reports that deAPI processed more than one million inference requests in July 2026.[10][11][12][13]
The now-discontinued GamerHash Miner automatically selected the most profitable algorithm for a user’s hardware, and swapped mined altcoins to Bitcoin for daily payouts. It ran on Windows, Linux, and macOS and used a custom GamerHash proxy for pool failover and profitability switching.[15][17]
In the AI compute network, contributed GPUs run AI inference workloads. Developers can access the network through the public API, which opened in 2025.[11]
The GamerHash AI Mobile app, available for Android and iOS, retains its historical features for monitoring account activity and accessing the built-in store, where users can exchange earned funds for rewards such as games and prepaid cards. It does not support mobile mining; the desktop software was required for that activity. In 2026, the app was renamed GamerHash AI Mobile and added a view of users’ AI workers. The company’s dashboard and app updates let users monitor worker status, GPU details, and job activity.[5][11][14]
The GamerHash Miner was a cross-platform desktop application for Windows, Linux, and macOS that enabled users to share surplus computing power from their CPUs and GPUs for cryptocurrency mining. It was discontinued on January 31, 2026. The software was free to download, with users responsible for a mining fee ranging from 0% to 7%, deducted from their earnings. The platform offered a 30-day period of fee-free mining, after which a rank-based fee structure applied.
Upon launching the app, users received a breakdown of potential earnings, separated by CPU and GPU contributions, with daily or monthly estimates for tracking device performance and earning potential. The Miner App is a legacy product; GPU contribution on the platform is now directed toward AI workloads.[6][15]
Launched in January 2019, Play&Earn offered users, including those with lower-end computers, a way to earn by completing partner tasks such as downloading apps or completing game objectives. At launch, it was initially available only to users in Poland. Up to three tasks could be in progress at once; other tasks were blocked during a cooldown that could range from 12 to 72 hours. Verified rewards were credited to the in-app GUSD wallet.[18][17]
The GamerHash AI App uses gamers’ GPUs for AI computations and offers rewards to users. Its on-device AI features include AI Image Generation and AI Chat, which the company describes as private and without usage limits like generic online equivalents. The app’s EARN module is distinct from these personal-use features: it supplies contributed GPUs to network inference jobs, with users accruing GHXP (GamerHash Experience Points) toward GHX rewards.
The company’s documented 2026 additions include image editing, text-to-music, text-to-speech and transcription, OCR and document extraction, video upscaling, and video replace and animation. Availability of models and features varies by device. In September 2026, version 0.87.0 added LTX 2.5 to AI EARN and changed the warning module to pause earning automatically when another application needs the GPU.[11][14][16]

GamerHash AI's tokenomics is structured around the issuance of 880 million GamerCoins (GHX). The 2020 private token sale had a hard cap of $2,800,000 and a soft cap of $1,150,000. Of the total token supply, 322 million GHX, representing 36.6%, was allocated for the token sale.[17]
Users can earn GHX tokens through several methods without purchasing them directly:
The 2020 whitepaper distinguishes the distribution of token-sale proceeds from the allocation of the 880 million GHX supply. Each list below has a separate 100% basis.[17]
