Lu Mai
Lu Mai is currently Vice President, Asia-Pacific at Binance and serves as CEO at CoinMarketCap. Formerly heading the IBM Asia-Pacific technical rescue & services team, he now oversees Binance's operations in the Asia-Pacific region, working to enhance services for users and strengthen the platform's industry influence.[1][2]
Education
Lu Mai pursued his Master of Science (MS) in Management Science and Engineering at Stanford University from 2013 to 2015. Earlier, he completed his Bachelor of Science (BS) in Electrical Engineering at Chengdu University of Technology, graduating in 2008.[1][2]
Career
Lu Mai currently serves as the CEO of CoinMarketCap since October 2021, based in Palo Alto, California. Additionally, he holds the position of Vice President, Asia-Pacific at Binance, a role he has been in since June
2020.
In his previous endeavors, Lu Mai founded and served as the CEO of 好物App from December 2014 to November 2017, achieving significant growth in user base and successfully integrating numerous factory resources during his tenure. He also secured approximately 30 million Chinese yuan (4.25 million US dollars) through three rounds of financing.
Prior to this, Lu Mai founded and served as the CEO of Signitors Inc from August 2014 to August 2016, based in Stanford, CA. His career at IBM spanned 5 years and 4 months, where he held the position of Head of Client Emergency Response Management in Asia Pacific Technical Services from October 2012 to October 2013, and earlier served as Team Lead in Server System Engineering in China from July 2008 to October 2012.[1][2]
