Prosperi began his career with internships in quantitative consulting and statistics. He worked as an Intern in Quantitative Consulting at Nunatac in Milan from October 2005 to January 2006, followed by an internship with the Statistics Division of the United Nations in Thailand from June to September 2005. From September 2006 to June 2011, Prosperi worked at Oliver Wyman as a Manager in Financial Services. He later joined MakerDAO in December 2021 for a nine-month role focused on lending oversight and incubation, followed by a position as Senior Advisor at Cherry Ventures from February 2022 to April 2025. In a July 2026 episode of the MoneyPot podcast, Prosperi discussed the development of application-specific stablecoins and the broader evolution of digital money. He described stablecoins as increasingly becoming financial infrastructure, with businesses seeking greater control over their digital money systems rather than relying solely on branded tokens or loyalty programs. Prosperi examined the expansion of stablecoins into areas such as credit cards, tokenized assets, traditional financial services, and cross-border payments, while noting that broader adoption and integration would develop over a longer period. He also discussed the role of regulatory clarity in enabling stablecoin adoption and the shift from cash-based payments toward digital alternatives. The conversation concluded with his expectations for continued growth in the stablecoin sector and the potential for digital money infrastructure to support new financial applications. [1]
In a November 2025 episode of the Money Code podcast, Prosperi discussed the development of stablecoin infrastructure, non-custodial wallets, and M0’s approach to digital money. He argued that the next phase of the industry would focus less on decentralization as an objective and more on wallet-centric, non-custodial infrastructure that treats money as an underlying system rather than a standalone product. Prosperi described M0 as an infrastructure layer designed to connect stablecoin issuance, liquidity, and distribution, with a many-to-one-to-many structure that allows different issuers to share liquidity and improve interoperability across chains and applications. He also discussed the growing interest from companies in issuing their own stablecoins to retain control over dollar liquidity and economics, and suggested that this could shift competition from issuance toward distribution and infrastructure. The conversation also covered the potential emergence of new digital money primitives, greater participation from application-layer and retail-focused entities, and the development of local-currency digital rails alongside the continued global role of the U.S. dollar. [5]
In an October 2025 episode of the Galaxy Brains podcast, Prosperi discussed stablecoins, DeFi risks, regulatory developments, and the evolution of digital financial infrastructure. He examined the October 10 crypto market selloff and the role of stablecoins and synthetic assets in the broader market, emphasizing the importance of understanding different risk profiles, collateral structures, and oracle dependencies. Prosperi also discussed the U.S. GENIUS Act and its potential impact on stablecoin issuance and financial infrastructure, arguing that the development of underlying infrastructure would be more significant than the creation of individual stablecoins. He described M0 as a chain-agnostic infrastructure platform intended to support interoperability, liquidity, and programmability among stablecoin issuers and applications. The discussion also covered the emergence of specialized and white-label stablecoin issuers, the risks of closed corporate blockchain networks, Europe’s approach to digital currencies, and the geopolitical implications of U.S. stablecoin policy and dollar-based digital finance [6]
