Michael Ciklin is a legal and financial executive who serves as the General Counsel and Chief Operating Officer of The Ether Machine. With a career spanning over 16 years in investing and financial markets analysis, his expertise is concentrated in the areas of structured credit, special situations investing, and complex capital structures. Michael Ciklin attended Palm Beach Day School and later graduated from The Benjamin School in 1998. He earned an A.B. from Princeton University in 2002. He subsequently attended the University of Florida, where he received a Juris Doctor from the Fredric G. Levin College of Law and a dual MBA/MRE from the Warrington College of Business, completing the programs in 2008. [1]
Michael Ciklin’s career reflects a progression across corporate finance, real estate, investment management, and executive leadership. He began as a Senior Financial Analyst at MGM Resorts, where he gained experience in corporate financial analysis. He later worked as an Associate at Savills Studley, a commercial real estate brokerage firm, before serving as Vice President at SPB Partners from 2010 to 2014.
In 2014, Ciklin joined Perini Capital, LLC, where he spent more than a decade in investment management. He served as a Portfolio Manager from August 2014 to May 2025, focusing on special situations investing, including opportunities arising from mergers, restructurings, and other corporate events across fixed income, preferred equity, and common equity securities. In June 2025, he was appointed Head of Research.
In July 2025, Ciklin became Chief Operating Officer and Interim Chief Financial Officer of The Ether Machine, a publicly traded company. In this executive capacity, his responsibilities include overseeing operational functions, financial strategy, treasury management, and capital markets activities, alongside broader corporate governance and compliance matters.
