Education

Rafael Melo received his Asian International Executive Programme (AIEP) from INSEAD in 2012. Rafael Melo obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in the field of Engineering at the Federal University of Minas Gerais from 1993 to 1998.

From there, Rafael Melo proceeded to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill to earn an MBA degree in Finance.^[3]

Career

Rafael Melo started his profession in March 1999 as an FP&A Specialist | SAP Implementation Team Leader and Graduate Trainee, Brazil at Embraer. Rafael Melo was later transitioned into the Division Controller, North America in June 2002 at Embraer in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, United States.^[4]

Rafael Melo has also worked as a Finance Manager at Embraer from July 2006 to December 2006. Rafael was promoted to Regional Finance Director, Asia-Pacific at Embraer in January 2007. Within the time Rafael Melo spent in Embraer, he performed several administrative functions, some of which are customer pilot training, aircraft sales and marketing, and technical/engineering service. Rafael Melo left Embraer in December 2010 to join Mobile Payment Solutions (MasterCard-incubated Technology Company) in January 2011. Rafael Melo worked at Mobile Payment Solutions as a Business Finance officer for three years and six months.

Rafael Melo had previously worked as a Chief Executive Officer at Ensogo in Singapore. Rafael Melo became the Co-founder and Chief Financial Officer at Crypto.com in July 2016.
