Yuval Rooz is the co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Digital Asset, a company developing cryptographically secure settlement and ledger services. He has served as CEO since 2019 and previously held roles as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer since the company’s founding in 2014.
In addition to his role at Digital Asset, Rooz has been an early investor in technology startups, including Metha AI (since 2024) and Arta Finance (since 2021). He was also the founder and CEO of Hesta Home, a Chicago-based company active from 2014 until its exit in 2017, and served as a board observer at Shiftgig between 2014 and 2015.
Before co-founding Digital Asset, Rooz worked at DRW, where he was a senior algorithmic trader and later part of its investment group between 2009 and 2015. Earlier in his career, he was a trader at Citadel Investment Group, where he worked on risk modeling and portfolio optimization in its global equities division from 2008 to 2009. He began his professional career in academia, serving as a teaching assistant program manager at the Georgia Institute of Technology from 2005 to 2008, after an earlier role as a teaching assistant at Dunwoody Community College.
