In an August 2026 interview with Bitcoin.com News, Park discussed Korea Blockchain Week (KBW) and the broader development of South Korea's digital asset industry. He explained that KBW brings ecosystem participants together around developments such as tokenization, citing growing interest from companies exploring tokenized assets in Korea. Park described the event's history, which began in 2018 during a bear market and grew from around 400 attendees to more than 15,000 by 2022, despite challenges including the COVID-19 pandemic. He said KBW 2026 would focus on institutional participation, policy and regulatory developments, and real-world asset tokenization, with greater involvement from U.S. and European institutions. Park also discussed Walker Hill as the conference venue, highlighting its smaller-scale setting and plans for expanded space and facilities to support business discussions. He described side events as complementary components of the conference and said KBW would evaluate success through collaborations and partnerships that develop after the event, rather than attendance alone.
