Dali Rajic is a technology executive and sales leader who was appointed Chief Revenue Officer of OpenAI in August 2026. He previously served as President and Chief Operating Officer of cloud-security company Wiz, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Revenue Officer of Zscaler, and Chief Customer and Revenue Officer of AppDynamics. OpenAI described Rajic as having experience building disciplined, metrics-driven revenue organizations and selling to both large enterprises and technical customers. [1] [2] [5]
Rajic has spent more than 25 years in sales, go-to-market, customer success, and operational leadership roles across enterprise software and cybersecurity companies. His career has included senior positions at AppDynamics, BMC Software, Verint, Zscaler, and Wiz before joining OpenAI. [1] [2] [5]
Rajic earned a Bachelor of Science in International Marketing from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. He later earned an MBA in Financial and Strategic Management from Northwestern University's Kellogg Graduate School of Management. [2] [3]
Rajic began his career in sales and account-management positions before moving into enterprise-software sales leadership. His early career included roles at Standard Register, Teletrac, and EMC Computer Systems before he moved into senior sales positions at Verint. [7]
He later served as Regional Vice President of Sales at Verint. From February 2009 to March 2012, he held several sales executive positions at BMC Software. [2]
Rajic joined AppDynamics in April 2012 and spent more than seven years at the application-performance-management company. He initially held multiple sales executive positions and advanced through the company's sales organization.
In August 2016, he became Chief Revenue Officer. In February 2018, he also became Chief Customer Officer, ultimately serving as Chief Customer and Revenue Officer until September 2019. [3]
In that role, Rajic oversaw an end-to-end customer-success model encompassing customer engagement, pre-sales, sales, services, and customer success. Zscaler later credited him with playing a significant role in AppDynamics' growth and development as a market leader. [2]
AppDynamics was acquired by Cisco in 2017. When Wiz announced Rajic's appointment in 2024, it said that during his period at AppDynamics he helped scale the company from approximately 1 billion in annual recurring revenue. [5]
Zscaler appointed Rajic President Go-To-Market and Chief Revenue Officer on September 10, 2019. He reported directly to Zscaler founder and CEO Jay Chaudhry.
Rajic was given worldwide responsibility for revenue growth, go-to-market strategy, and the continued development of Zscaler's customer-success initiatives. His remit included building and scaling enterprise sales systems for both direct and partner sales.
Zscaler said his experience included developing multidimensional go-to-market models, end-to-end customer-success programs, and predictable enterprise sales processes focused on customer outcomes. [2]
In January 2022, Rajic was promoted from President Go-To-Market and Chief Revenue Officer to Chief Operating Officer of Zscaler.
As COO, he continued to lead the company's global sales organization while taking broader responsibility for coordination among sales, marketing, business development, and transformation teams. The expanded role was intended to improve Zscaler's customer lifecycle and support its continued growth
Rajic remained Zscaler's COO until February 2024. He submitted his resignation on January 29, 2024, effective February 2. [4]
When Wiz subsequently announced his appointment, it said Rajic had spent approximately four and a half years at Zscaler and that the company's revenue had increased by more than 700% during his tenure. [5]
On June 2, 2022, Rajic joined the board of directors of enterprise automation company Hyperscience while serving as COO of Zscaler.
Hyperscience appointed him to advise its leadership on operational scaling, go-to-market strategy, and the development of predictable and repeatable revenue-growth processes. The company also said his experience would support the commercialization of its artificial intelligence and machine-learning technology.
Rajic remained listed as a Hyperscience board member after joining OpenAI. [6]
Wiz announced Rajic's appointment as President and Chief Operating Officer on February 5, 2024, shortly after his departure from Zscaler.
He was appointed to oversee Wiz's growth strategy and operating models as the cloud-security company sought to scale its business and prepare for an eventual public offering. At the time of his appointment, Wiz reported approximately $350 million in annual recurring revenue, more than 900 employees, and customers representing more than 40% of the Fortune 100.
Wiz said Rajic's experience scaling AppDynamics and Zscaler was a major reason for his appointment. CEO and co-founder Assaf Rappaport described Rajic as an executive with experience scaling technology companies through rapid expansion. [5]
As President and COO, Rajic had responsibility for worldwide growth, go-to-market execution, and operating strategy. [5] [6]
Rajic remained President and COO as Wiz expanded its cloud-security business. By the time OpenAI announced his appointment in August 2026, Wiz had recently been acquired by Google. [1]
On August 13, 2026, OpenAI announced that Rajic would join the company as Chief Revenue Officer, succeeding Denise Dresser. [1] [8]
Rajic was appointed to lead OpenAI's global revenue organization as the company increased its focus on enterprise AI adoption. At the time of the announcement, OpenAI reported more than one billion weekly active users across its products and more than two million business customers, twice the number from a year earlier.
OpenAI said Rajic would be responsible for building the revenue infrastructure and operating system required for the company's next stage of growth. The company highlighted his experience running metrics-led global revenue organizations and selling technology to both large enterprises and technical customers.
OpenAI President and co-founder Greg Brockman said Rajic would be responsible for converting lessons from the company's earlier commercial expansion into repeatable execution as OpenAI developed systems for broader adoption of artificial intelligence by businesses.
Rajic said on his appointment that OpenAI combined widely adopted products, strong demand, and significant market potential, and that he intended to build on the company's existing momentum while helping customers derive value from AI. [1]
Rajic joined OpenAI during a period in which enterprise adoption had become an increasingly important part of the company's commercial strategy. His role placed him in charge of the organization responsible for converting demand for OpenAI products into recurring customer relationships and revenue.
His appointment followed a period of leadership changes within OpenAI. Dresser, who had joined as Chief Revenue Officer in December 2025, announced that she would leave the company to pursue other opportunities. She was expected to work with the business team during a transition period before Rajic assumed responsibility for the revenue organization. [1] [8]
OpenAI also announced a strategic partnership with Chad Peets and RPT Partners alongside Rajic's appointment. The partnership was intended to support OpenAI's continuing effort to develop its global go-to-market organization. [1]
