Joshua Goodbody

Joshua Goodbody is a legal and business executive with a background spanning financial services, , regulatory affairs, and technology. He is the COO and Co-Founder of and CEO and Co-Founder of Warden Labs, with previous executive and legal roles at Qredo Protocol, , Huobi Global, State Street, and J.P. Morgan Asset Management. Education

Goodbody studied Law with Hispanic Law at University College London, earning an LLB in 2010. As part of his studies, he also attended Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, where he studied Law. [4]

Career

Goodbody began his career in legal roles within financial markets, including CIB Legal at BNP Paribas Commodity Futures Ltd, where he managed the futures legal documentation function for the commodities trading business. Through Derivatives Risk Solutions LLP, he later worked in Credit Suisse's Listed Derivatives, Advisory, and General Counsel division, handling futures documentation, exchange and clearing membership applications, brokerage agreements, and client jurisdictional due diligence. He then served as a Vice President at J.P. Morgan Asset Management, covering exchange-traded and over-the-counter derivatives and prime brokerage.

Goodbody joined State Street as Legal Counsel, supporting its Futures & Options Execution and Clearing business as well as the FX Connect and Currenex multilateral trading facilities. He subsequently became Commercial Director and Head of Legal and Regulatory Affairs at Autilla Ltd, working across commercial, legal, and regulatory functions. At Huobi Global, he served as Global General Counsel before becoming Head of Europe and the Americas, where he oversaw legal, compliance, governance, institutional business, OTC trading, and regional operations. In 2020, Goodbody joined in a regional leadership role covering European markets, teams, and operations. He then became Chief Operating Officer of Qredo Protocol, overseeing operations for its custody protocol and platform. In 2024, he co-founded Warden Labs and became its CEO, then became COO and Co-Founder of in 2026. [2]

Qredo AMA

In a March 2022 AMA hosted by , Goodbody discussed Qredo and its approach to custody and trading. He explained that Qredo was developing decentralized infrastructure to provide secure asset custody and transfers through cryptography and technology, addressing security and accessibility challenges in digital asset management. Goodbody described Qredo’s use of Multi-Party Computation (MPC), which distributes private key control across multiple , and its three-layer architecture: underlying , a network for asset ownership and settlement, and a messaging layer for data transfer. He also discussed the utility of the Qredo token for network participation, governance, , and , along with plans to add as the network moves toward greater decentralization. Goodbody further described Qredo’s community initiatives, including grants and hackathons, as well as its plans to expand its team and continue developing the network’s infrastructure. [5]
