Junjia He is the co-founders of Pieverse, a platform designed to revolutionize the value of time by bridging the gap between time and economic transactions in the Web3 context. [1] [2]
Junjia He obtained a Master's degree in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University, where he studied from 2014 to 2015 and graduated with a 3.96 GPA.
He previously completed a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, attending from 2010 to 2014 and graduating with a 3.8 GPA. As part of the undergraduate program, he earned Grade A (90+) in 20 core courses, including Data Structures, Computer Architecture, Project Workshop of Operating System, Artificial Intelligence, and Probability & Statistics. Junjia He began his professional career in 2015 as a software engineering intern at Google, where he worked on backend infrastructure for YouTube Kids. In 2016, he joined Uber as a software engineer, working on software development projects within the company's engineering organization, which served as a basis for later work with blockchain.
He joined QuarkChain in 2018 as an engineer. During his tenure, he worked on blockchain scaling methods based on sharding and participated in the development of Layer 1 blockchain infrastructure. He also led engineering work on decentralized finance (DeFi) applications, including stablecoins, decentralized exchanges (DEXs), and lending protocols.
From 2022 to 2024, He served as an advisor to multiple projects, providing guidance on Web3-related strategies and blockchain adoption. Between September 2023 and April 2024, he was an Entrepreneur in Residence at ABCDE before co-founding Pieverse.
Since April 2024, He has served as co-founder of Pieverse, where he oversees technical development. The platform combines blockchain technology with time-based economic mechanisms through features including Time Bidding, Time Lottery, and Time Tasks.
At Pieverse, he worked on the integration of pieUSD, a USDT-wrapped token that implements the ERC-3009 standard for transactions on BNB Chain. The implementation also addressed compatibility with the x402 protocol and included support for the transition to x402b.
His work at the company has also included the development of payment-related tools, such as Pieverse Timestamping, which supports automated invoicing, stablecoin payments, and compliance receipt generation.
Throughout his career, He has worked on software engineering, blockchain infrastructure, decentralized finance applications, and blockchain-based payment systems through roles at Google, Uber, QuarkChain, and Pieverse.
