The Rollup is a media and venture firm focused on digital assets and blockchain. Founded in 2020 by Robbie Klages and Andy C, the firm produces podcasts, interviews, research, and other content covering developments across the crypto industry. History

The Rollup was established in 2020 by Robbie Klages and Andy C under the name DeFi Slate. Klages studied mathematics and philosophy at the University of Florida and became involved in the crypto industry in 2016. He has since participated in industry conferences as both an attendee and speaker. Andy C previously worked in online marketing before becoming involved in the blockchain sector. As the platform's coverage expanded beyond DeFi to other areas of blockchain technology and digital finance, DeFi Slate was rebranded as The Rollup.^[2]​

Programs & Activities

The Rollup produces a podcast covering topics including Ethereum, DeFi, blockchain infrastructure, and digital assets. Episodes include interviews with industry participants, including Jesse Pollak and Haseeb Qureshi, on topics related to Ethereum and digital asset markets. ^[3]​

The Rollup also publishes research and analysis through its newsletter, covering subjects such as artificial intelligence in finance, tokenization of real-world assets, and blockchain technology. The Rollup Ventures serves as the firm's investment arm and invests in early-stage crypto companies.^{[1] [2]}​

According to The Rollup, its venture activities have included partnerships with companies in the digital asset and fintech industries and more than 75 angel investments in seed-stage crypto startups.^[2]​
