Sub0 is a conference focused on Web3 innovators and developers working across the Polkadot technology stack, including custom layer-1 blockchains, dApps, smart contracts, infrastructure, tooling, and cross-chain interoperability solutions. The event aims to help developers and newcomers to Web3 learn how to use Polkadot's secure, flexible, composable, and cost-effective blockspace, highlighting its importance for the broader Web3 industry. ^[1][2]

Sub0 2024

The 2024 edition of Sub0 is taking place at 127 Na Ranong Rd. Khlong Toei, Bangkok, Thailand from 9 to 11 November. ^[1]

A three-day immersion and summit of like-minded developers, builders and visionaries — united to build the future on Substrate & Polkadot SDK.^[1]

Sub0 engages rust developers, blockchain engineers, smart contract developers, students, and developers making the transition from Web2 to Web3, gathering to discuss the most prevalent topics across the Polkadot ecosystem. ^[3]

All virtual sessions include translation services via subtitles on the live stream in Vietnamese, Thai, and Mandarin. Those joining in-person who need the translations can watch the live stream via the Polkadot event app which is available on the App Store and Google Play Store. Presentations will take place virtually and in person, across four simultaneously running stages in two zones. ^[3]

• Starter Space - for those new to Polkadot, Substrate, Web3, and blockchain.
• Builder Space - for builders already familiar, or already building on the Polkadot or Substrate tech stack.

Sub0 2023

In 2023, the Sub0 developer conference took place from September 19-20, 2023 in LX-Factory, Lisbon, Portugal. The event brought together the global Polkadot developer community and provided an open introduction to next-generation multichain networks, as well as a chance for existing Polkadot and Substrate developers to deepen their skills and connect. ^[5]

Two different types of content were available for attendees at the event: one for experienced developers and another for those new to the ecosystem. Each attendee could choose their own path by participating in more personalized talks and workshops in the Starter and Builder spaces. Newcomers had the opportunity to learn about the Polkadot tech stack, Substrate, Web3, and blockchain, and gain a clear understanding of the ecosystem. Experienced builders could explore technical topics, participate in workshops, discover new blockchain SDK tools, and stay updated on the latest developments related to Polkadot and beyond. ^[5]
