Block Trucks

Block Trucks is a free-to-play multiplayer offroad racing game with cross-platform functionality. Players race in real time, aiming to improve their rank and gain rewards. The game aims to provide a competitive experience across platforms.[1][2][20]

Overview

Block Trucks, founded by Greg Quinn, is a free-to-play, cross-platform multiplayer offroad racing game where players compete in real-time, aiming to improve their rank and earn rewards. The game aims to provide a competitive, cheat-free environment without pay-to-win mechanics. Players can acquire and trade cosmetic , with daily upgrade limits to manage progression. It supports desktop, mobile, and web platforms, with closed beta access for Founder’s Pack holders.[1][2][3][19]

Gameplay

Block Trucks employs a semi-realistic driving model that blends simulation and arcade elements, aiming to be accessible across devices while allowing skill development. The physics are designed to enable control during cornering, drifting, and boosting, with mid-air adjustments affecting race performance.[4]

Ranked Multiplayer

Block Trucks includes a ranked multiplayer system where players begin at Bronze and can progress to Grand Champion. Each rank, except Grand Champion, consists of three divisions based on an ELO rating system. The system aims to reward players with points for defeating opponents of varying ranks. Advancing through divisions unlocks new stadiums and racing conditions, such as sand, mud, and snow tracks.[5]

Track Conditions

Block Trucks features four racing track conditions, each with varying levels of difficulty.

Tarmac aims to provide maximum grip with minimal drift. Sand, which unlocks at Silver I rank, introduces slight drift for offroad dynamics. Mud, available at Gold I rank, presents challenging conditions often accompanied by rain and fog. Snow, the most difficult condition unlocked at Platinum I rank, requires earlier braking and precise cornering.[6]

Weekly Tournaments

Block Trucks features weekly tournaments each weekend across three time zones: 8 PM Eastern Time, 8 PM GMT, and 8 PM Sydney Time. These tournaments aim to provide FUEL rewards, unique cosmetics, player titles, and entry tickets to larger monthly events. Tickets can be obtained using BTCOIN or collected on the race track and are issued as , allowing for resale on compatible marketplaces.[7]

Monthly Tournaments

Block Trucks hosts monthly tournaments on the last weekend of each month across three time zones: 8 PM Eastern Time, 8 PM GMT, and 8 PM Sydney Time. These tournaments aim to provide significant prize pools, including FUEL rewards, unique cosmetics, player titles, and entry tickets for future events. Tickets can be obtained using BTCOIN or collected on the race track and are issued as , allowing for resale on compatible marketplaces.[8]

Truck Upgrades

Block Trucks aims to provide players with customization and upgrade options for their trucks without pay-to-win mechanics. Players can enhance their trucks in nine categories, including engine and nitro, each featuring three tiers.

Upgrades require BTCASH and upgrade card , which can be acquired through racing, booster packs, or marketplaces. Players may upgrade each category daily, with a limit of two for those holding a Monthly Race Pass. Skipping a day can result in maintenance fees, potentially leading to downgrades if BTCASH is insufficient.[9][10][11][12][13]
