Cats and Soup is a mobile game developed by Hidea and Neowiz in 2021. The game incorporates a collection of 1,930 NFTs known as Early Retired Cats Club through Intella X’s Launchpad IX Wallet. ^[1][2]

Overview

In Cats & Soup, cats cook and sell food such as soup and fried dishes in a forest. Cats & Soup has more than 50 million cumulative downloads and it’s available in 192 countries, supporting the following languages: Chinese (Simplified), Chinese (Traditional), English, French, German, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese (Brazil), Russian, Spanish (Castilian), Spanish (Latin America), Swedish, and Turkish. ^[2][3]

Cats & Soup became the first Korean game to be featured on the video platform Netflix. Users could enjoy the clicker game, which involved simple actions such as repetitive clicking, without encountering in-game advertising or in-app purchases. Neowiz's mobile game was released on Netflix in November 2021 after removing in-game advertising and in-app purchases. Neowiz managed game updates and maintenance, while Netflix handled content publication worldwide. ^[4]

After teaming up with ArumGames, the game’s web3 social network game version was launched, incorporating play-and-earn mechanics. The original Cats & Soup game was also launched on Intella X. ^[5][6]

ERCC, or Early Retired Cats Club, is a collection of Cats & Soup PFP NFTs that was featured on the Intella X launchpad. These NFTs were minted for free, with only 1,930 of them available. ^[7]
