Piotr Janiuk
Piotr Janiuk is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and co-founder of Golem, a decentralized computing platform. He is also an advisor to Hoard, a tokenized game asset exchange.[3] [1]
Education
Piotr Janiuk holds an MSc in Mathematics from the University of Warsaw and an MSc in Computer Science from Uniwersytet Warszawski. [2]
Career
Piotr Janiuk is the acting CEO and co-founder of Golem Factory GmbH. Janiuk was previously a software engineer at Lightcraft Sp. z o.o. from September 2005 to April 2010, and a senior lead developer at imapp from July 2014 to June 2018. Piotr also worked as a senior developer at Instytut Badań Strukturalnych from May 2013 to June 2014.[2] Previously, Janiuk was a designer and lead developer of Black Vision, a real-time rendering engine for TV broadcasting. He implemented the fastest (at the time) software jpeg2000 codec for DCP.[4] Janiuk is an advocate for decentralized technologies and believes that they have the potential to revolutionize many industries.
Golem Network
Piotr Janiuk designed and developed the first Golem PoC and helped design the high-level architecture of both implementations of the Golem Network platform. He also designed and implemented the Golem crowdfunding contract and presented the Golem Network at the very first Ethereum Developers conference, DEVCON0. At Golem, Janiuk is responsible for overseeing the development of the platform's core technology. He is also involved in the company's business development and marketing efforts.[4]
