He is the co-founder of Bridge, a position he has held since 2022. Prior to that, he served as a Staff Software Engineer at Airbnb from 2019 to 2022, contributing to large-scale technical systems in San Francisco. Yu also worked as a Staff Engineer at Coinbase between 2018 and 2019, focusing on blockchain-related infrastructure. From 2015 to 2018, he held the role of Staff Engineer and Engineering Manager at DoorDash, where he led engineering teams and product initiatives. Earlier in his career, Yu worked as a Software Engineer at Square (2013–2015), developing distributed systems and syncing protocols for Square’s Register app. Before that, he co-founded Evenly, a mobile payments startup targeting universities, which was acquired by Square in 2013. At Blackboard Mobile, he served as both Senior Engineering Manager (2012) and Lead iOS Engineer (2009–2011), overseeing iOS development and product architecture.
