"crypto governance is applicable across a variety of contexts. Decentralization and removal of intermediaries are things that apply across every industry, across every jurisdiction.
It really is a fundamental element to how we build community. Given the focus from policymakers, the press and the crypto industry itself on financial services, I think we lose sight of the underlying, novel revolution in our ecosystem — which is fundamentally about a new way of governing ourselves and our communities." - Sheila responded when asked "What’s one underrated big idea?"[5]
Warren is a member of the NEAR Foundation Council (NFC). The NEAR Foundation Council (NFC) is the governing body of the NEAR Foundation (NF) (similar to a board of directors) which is responsible for ultimate control and oversight of NF and for making significant decisions for the organization. [6]
The NFC is separate from the NF’s executive team, which is empowered by the NFC to manage the NF’s day-to-day operations and reports back to the NFC (and seeks NFC approval where necessary for significant decisions). [6]
