Overview

Solidity Fridays made its debut on the Twitch platform on November 12, 2021. The inaugural hosts included Ben Sparks, Will Schwab, and Rory Simmonds, who are all proficient in the programming language, Solidity, initially representing Linum Labs, a Swiss-South African blockchain development company affiliated with ETH Cape Town in 2019 and 2023. Despite parting ways with Linum Labs, they aim to navigate the complexities of code, guiding early viewers through the developments in Web3. ^[4][5]

Originating from the Linum Labs environment, Solidity Fridays initiated collaborative hosting sessions with Linum developers. In September 2022, Tamara Ringas, a seasoned solidity developer with a background in zero-knowledge cryptography, assumed the role of lead host, starting the "Zero-knowledge cryptography" series on the Solidity Fridays YouTube channel. ^[1]

An operations team was subsequently formed to provide support behind the scenes. With a focus on Solidity education, the platform aims to function as an informative hub, facilitating viewer knowledge expansion and exploration of Solidity within the community. ^[4][6]
