Afanddy B Hushni

Afanddy B Hushni is the founder and Chairman of International, a company involved in , technology, and privacy-focused infrastructure.[3] He founded in 2018 as a privacy-first ecosystem designed to support confidential transactions, communications, and browsing through decentralized applications.[3] With more than 22 years of experience in trading, investment, quantitative trading, and crypto asset management, Afanddy has a background spanning both traditional finance and the digital asset economy.[3][4]

Education

Afanddy B Hushni earned a Diploma in Computer Studies, with a focus on Accounting and Finance, from Data Power EDP/NCC, completed between 1993 and 1996.[4] This program combined computer studies with accounting and finance.[3]

Career

Afanddy’s professional career began in the mid-1990s in Malaysia, where he held roles in research and development, IT support, and administration at companies including Orbtech Power (M) Sdn Bhd, Ampuh Indah (M) Sdn Bhd, C.A.M Pasir Gudang, Risys Tech Sdn Bhd, YPS Sdn Bhd / YPJ Group, and Projek Panorama (M) Sdn Bhd.[4] He subsequently moved into IT and engineering management, serving as IT Manager at XL Computer System Sdn Bhd from September 1997 to August 2000 and as Senior Manager at Supreme Marketing Concept (M) Sdn Bhd from June 2000 to November 2012.[4]

From December 2012 to January 2018, Afanddy worked as a Manager at The Nomad Group Berhad in Kuala Lumpur, followed by a role as Head of Department at YM Consultant Sdn Bhd from January 2018 to January 2019.[4] In parallel, he became self-employed in July 2017, focusing on general management, quantitative trading, and crypto asset management related to digital assets and decentralized technologies.[4][3]

In March 2018, Afanddy founded and became its Chairman, guiding the project from a privacy-focused cryptocurrency network into a broader privacy-preserving ecosystem.[4][3] As founder and chairman, he oversees strategic direction, including ’s transition from Proof of Work to a Proof of Stake-based network and the development of privacy-oriented decentralized applications.[3]

Beldex (BDX)

(BDX) is a privacy-focused and ecosystem founded in 2018 by Afanddy B Hushni.[3] It was initially launched as a Proof of Work network and later transitioned to a Proof of Stake-based consensus in December 2021, with BDX holders able to participate in securing the network through masternodes.[3] The BDX token functions as the native asset of the , used for transactions and as a within the ecosystem.[3][1]

The Beldex network is designed to support confidential, privacy-preserving transactions and decentralized applications that aim to protect users’ financial and online activity.[3] Its ecosystem includes BChat, a private messaging application; BelNet, a decentralized VPN service; and the Beldex Browser, which is developed as an ad-free browser focused on user privacy.[3][5] Beldex also develops the Beldex privacy protocol, a cross-chain asset anonymizer intended to extend privacy features to assets bridged from other networks.[5]

In February 2023, Beldex announced that investment firm committed $25 million to support research and development of the Beldex network and ecosystem.[5] The partnership described as a primary supporter and adviser to Beldex, including assistance with marketing activities and ecosystem growth.[5] In the same announcement, Afanddy B Hushni stated that Beldex’s ecosystem was expanding, with BChat and BelNet already live, ongoing development of the Beldex Browser, and research into integrating EVM compatibility on the Beldex to enable privacy-preserving .[5]

Interview

Afanddy B Hushni, chairman of , gave an interview to the CryptoKnowMics website at the in Bangkok. In this interview, which was published on December 11, 2019, he discussed topics including , privacy-focused , and Shariah compliance in the cryptocurrency sector.[2]

During the interview, Afanddy highlighted ’s plans at that time to launch its own exchange and emphasized the platform’s privacy focus, contrasting it with by describing as designed to conceal user identities and transaction details. This privacy-centric approach was framed as a response to concerns over user anonymity in the space. He also outlined the advantages of , where users retain control over their funds, compared with that hold user data and assets in a single location.[2]

Afanddy noted that Beldex aimed to support both decentralized and centralized exchange models, allowing users to select the approach that suited their needs. A further point of discussion was Beldex’s positioning as a Shariah-compliant exchange, which he said entailed adherence to Islamic law and avoidance of activities such as money laundering and Ponzi schemes. He also addressed the misconception that is synonymous with , highlighting the broader market of and encouraging users to consider the diversity of projects beyond .[2]
