Andrew Nguyen is a blockchain engineer and technology executive with a background spanning blockchain infrastructure, decentralized networks, mobile application development, and Web3 applications. He is Chief Technology Officer at Canopy Network, previously a Founding Engineer at Pocket Network, and has held blockchain engineering roles at BitcoinLatina Foundation, Nonce+1 Labs, and USSOCOM. Career
Nguyen began his technology career as a Web Developer and Co-Founder of College Strength Inc. from March 2016 to March 2017, where he worked as a full-stack developer for Collegestrength.org. From June 2016 to June 2017, he was also a Co-Founder and Mobile Application Developer at Moiety, Inc., where he led full-stack development of the company's Android roommate-matching application. Earlier, from December 2011 to March 2012, he worked as a student tutor at West End Boys School in Louisville, Kentucky.
In May 2017, Nguyen joined USSOCOM as a Blockchain Engineer, working as an Ethereum core developer on Android with a focus on drones and blockchain. He subsequently worked as a Blockchain Engineer at Nonce+1 Labs from December 2017 to March 2018, specializing in Ethereum, and as Genesis Core Developer at BitcoinLatina Foundation from January to March 2018. From February 2018 to February 2019, he was Founder and Ethereum/React Developer at artpiece.io, a blockchain-based marketplace for collectible art. In May 2018, he joined Pocket Network as a Founding Engineer, contributing to its decentralized infrastructure network until December 2022.
Nguyen joined Canopy Network as Chief Technology Officer in February 2024. At Canopy, he works on a mesh security network and developer framework designed to support application-specific Layer 1 networks, shared security, interoperability, and blockchain development. [3] [9]
Canopy
Canopy is an AI-native platform for creating, launching, and developing onchain applications through application-specific networks called Nested Chains.
