Blake Richardson is a digital asset entrepreneur and decentralized finance specialist with experience in cryptocurrency investment, blockchain-based gaming, research, and technology policy. He is Co-Founder of Superform, having previously served as Head of DeFi at BlockTower Capital and co-founded CryptoPets. [12]
Richardson earned his BS in Economics from George Washington University. [1]
Richardson began his career in research and public policy, working as a Researcher at GRA Quantum from 2016 to 2017 and in the Office of US Senator Joe Donnelly in 2016, where he worked on economic and technology policy. From December 2017 to September 2019, he co-founded CryptoPets, a blockchain-based video game that explored decentralized technology through online battles, rewards, and game mechanics. From October 2019 to March 2022, Richardson served as Head of DeFi at BlockTower Capital, a cryptoasset investment firm focused on digital asset investing, trading, and portfolio management. In March 2022, he co-founded Superform, where he continues to work on the company. [1] [7]
In an interview with the BlockHash Podcast at ETHDenver in April 2026, Richardson discussed his path from working in the U.S. Senate and defense sector to founding early crypto projects, joining BlockTower Capital, and co-founding Superform in 2022. He explained that Superform had evolved from a DeFi yield marketplace into a non-custodial crypto neobank intended to let users earn, save, trade, and eventually spend on-chain assets through a mobile application. At the time of the interview, the platform offered vaults and tools for accessing yield across multiple EVM chains, with planned additions including more on-ramps, third-party vault curators, swaps, a credit card, Android support, and expansion into additional countries. Richardson described ETHDenver as reflecting a greater focus on sustainable businesses, real users, and privacy, and characterized market conditions as a bear market for tokens that differed from Bitcoin's institutional narrative and the improving fundamentals of crypto businesses. He also emphasized that broader DeFi adoption would require stronger safety measures, including insurance and protections against user losses. [10]
