Kevin Kwong is a business and marketing executive with a background spanning technology, digital media, product management, advertising, and commercial strategy. He is Executive Director and Group Chief Business Officer at MemeStrategy, and also serves as Chief Business Officer at 9GAG, having previously held leadership roles at OSL Group, Tink Labs, and Edipresse Group. Kwong began his career at Microsoft in Toronto, where he worked as a Product Producer from 2005 to 2006, serving on Microsoft Search Engine and MSN Homepage projects. He then joined Yahoo! in 2006 as a Product Specialist for Search and Community products in Canada, became a Product Manager in 2008, and managed Yahoo! Search and Community services across the Asia Pacific region. From 2010 to 2011, he served as Product Marketing Manager at Yahoo!, where he led product marketing and financial performance. In 2011, he also worked as Global Digital Marketing Manager at Philips, developing and executing digital marketing strategy for its Lifestyle Entertainment business unit. From 2011 to 2015, Kwong served as Regional Digital Director at Edipresse Group, where he led the company's transition from traditional print media to digital media. He also lectured in the Master's program at Hong Kong Baptist University's School of Communications from 2014 to 2015, teaching courses in digital advertising and marketing. In 2015, he joined Tink Labs as General Manager, Commercial, a position he held until 2018. He then became Head of Marketing at OSL Group from 2018 to 2019. Kwong joined 9GAG as General Manager in 2019 and became Chief Business Officer in 2023. In April 2025, he joined MemeStrategy as Executive Director and Group Chief Business Officer, while continuing to serve as Chief Business Officer at 9GAG. [1]
MemeStrategy is a Hong Kong-listed digital asset investment company founded by the team behind 9GAG. Formerly known as Howkingtech International Holding, the company shifted its focus toward artificial intelligence, blockchain, and cultural intellectual property after 9GAG founder Ray Chan acquired a controlling stake and renamed it MemeStrategy in April 2025. In June 2025, it became the first publicly listed company in Hong Kong to invest in the Solana ecosystem, followed by a strategic cooperation agreement with Helio, a MoonPay subsidiary, to support development of the Moonit token trading platform.
