Brandon Kokoski (BK) is a Canadian entrepreneur, builder, and strategist, serving as the vice president and a founding member of Dione Protocol, a blockchain project focused on renewable energy and decentralized infrastructure. He is involved in leading the project's growth, marketing, and public engagement strategies. [1]
Kokoski began his career in the energy sector before transitioning to blockchain entrepreneurship in 2021, with a focus on decentralized infrastructure and emerging technologies. In August 2022, he co-founded the Dione Protocol, where he serves as Vice President. The project aims to integrate renewable energy systems with blockchain technology to create a decentralized energy marketplace. [2] [3]
Under Kokoski's leadership, Dione Protocol has developed several components, including a blockchain ecosystem, hardware infrastructure, and a decentralized energy trading platform. The project initially launched on the Ethereum network before developing its own standalone Layer 1 blockchain named Odyssey. Odyssey is designed to be a purpose-built chain for Real World Assets (RWA), specifically targeting the power and utility industries. The protocol's stated mission is to bring the global energy market on-chain, empowering users to produce, share, and consume renewable energy through blockchain-based incentives.
Renewable energy sources power the Odyssey blockchain and incorporate several key features. It is EVM-compatible, allowing for interoperability and asset transfers with other popular networks. The chain operates on a hybrid model, functioning as a permissionless base layer that can support permissioned applications through a feature called "Infi-Nets." To maintain decentralization, Odyssey utilizes a Delegated Proof of Stake (DPoS) consensus mechanism, designed to support a large number of validators and incentivize community participation. The Dione ecosystem also includes the AMARA DEX, a token bridge, and an NFT bridge for transferring assets between Ethereum and Odyssey. [1] [3]
