Melee is a creator-focused prediction markets platform built on the Solana blockchain, in which individuals can create their own markets on any topic and earn a share of the trading activity they generate.
The project positions itself around the idea that conventional prediction markets are controlled by a central "gatekeeper" that decides which questions can be asked, and it instead lets any user author a market.
As of September 2026 the platform is in a beta phase, and its central mechanic is the Melee Score, a single user rating the project has said will serve as the foundation for future rewards and point systems. [1][2]
A prediction market is a marketplace in which participants trade on the outcome of a future event, with prices reflecting the crowd's estimated probability of each result.
Melee applies this model to open, user-generated questions rather than a fixed catalog set by the platform. Its framing centers on removing the intermediary that ordinarily approves which markets exist: in its pinned post of August 27, the project stated, "Every prediction market you've ever used has a gatekeeper. Not anymore. The era of creator-made prediction markets starts now."[2]
The platform runs on Solana, a high-throughput blockchain, and coordinates its community through a Discord server alongside its X account.
Melee has said that during the beta "everyone starts beta from the same place," and that a user's finishing position "carries benefits to mainnet and beyond," indicating the project intends to move from its current beta to a full mainnet deployment while preserving standing earned during the test period. [2]
Melee's distinguishing feature is that markets are authored by users rather than the platform, under a model it advertises as "Ask Questions, Get Paid." The project states that creators earn a cut of every trade placed in a market they made, giving them a direct financial incentive to pose questions and attract traders. The stated purpose from the creator's side is to "Take a cut of every trade," while traders are told they "earn more on every call."[1]
To illustrate the model, the site presents an example market asking "Will GTA VI ship this year?", attributed to the creator , with displayed results of "Yes 62%" and "No 38%."
That sample market is shown with 15.87 million in volume, 7,842 traders, and creator earnings of $317,375, figures Melee presents as an illustration of what a large creator market can generate. The interface also surfaces social context around each market, showing prompts such as "3 of your friends traded this market," which ties trading activity to a user's social graph. [1]
Melee structures its payouts around two components rather than a single all-or-nothing settlement.
As the project explained on August 29, a payout consists of "a guaranteed floor that locks on entry" and "liquidity rewards that accrue throughout the duration of a market." The floor is fixed at the moment a position is opened and, in the project's words, "only ratchets up," so a trader's minimum return cannot fall below the level set at entry. [2][1]
The second component grows as more participants take the opposite side of a position and the odds move. Melee states that as this happens, a trader's payout "rises just by holding onto your position," meaning that returns can accumulate over the life of a market without additional action from the holder. [1]
The Melee Score is a single rating that Melee describes as the foundation for its future rewards and point systems. It is divided into six ranks, in ascending order: Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, and Champion.
The project has framed the score as a permanent measure of standing, promoting it under the heading "Earn permanent rewards" and inviting users to "Start earning your Melee Score today."[ 1][2]
