The Vogu Collective
The Vogu Collective (launched July 2021) are unique robot avatars that are part of a larger Vogu metaverse which is currently under development. The randomized Non-Fungible Token (NFT) collection contains 7,777 tokens.[1]
Vogu is an art and storytelling sci-fi project gaining significant traction in the NFT marketplace. The auction started on July 26, 2021, and ended with 900 new owners of the 7777 NFTs.[2]
The Vogu Collective was sold out in a matter of hours.[3]
Overview
The Vogu Collective has an especially distinct art style, combining streetwear fashion with robot characters. Vogu was launched on July 26, 2021, but it quickly gained traction as one of the hottest projects in the NFT space.
The Vogu NFT Collection features 7,777 Unique Robot Avatars in the Vogu Metaverse. The NFTs have narrative significance to the project’s lore that’s why demand was very high.
The lore introduces an expansive fictional universe that is the basis of future stories, characters, and art. Simply put, the robot avatar is the ticket of NFT holders into the greater Vogu Metaverse.
Vogu revealed that 50% of the proceeds would go to charity while 50% will go to the artist.
The project went so well in terms of both lore and art and it attracted over 9000 members on its Discord channel before the launch. The NFT Drop was originally scheduled on July 26, 5 PM PDT. However, users experienced issues accessing the website and minting the tokens.[5][6]
Tether Assisted Robotic Skeleton (TARS)
The unique robot avatars are called TARS which is Tether Assisted Robotic Skeleton. Vogu has created various different facial or other human or robotic characteristics and attributes, which were randomly combined to create each TARS (for example, ear, eye, background, power unit, quantum core, sensor, face, apex, sense emulator, aux, torso, and hand attributes, and/or the like).
Each TARS is unique because it includes a unique combination of selected Attributes for that TARS. No two TARS comprise of the same combination of attributes and each TARS is a Non-Fungible Token (“NFT”) stored on the Ethereum blockchain.[7]
TARS allow humans to experience the world through their personal robots.

Jason Trinidad
Jason is a Los Angeles-based artist, his skills cross several medium-illustration, including graphic design, animation, and mixed-material art and sculpture. His style mostly incorporates futuristic and postmodern sci-fi aesthetics.
When he is not working on his own art, he moonlights in the film industry taking up various roles in the art department.
Andrew Drayton
Andrew is a start-up founder and NFT enthusiast, he has been involved in crypto since 2013 and has forged a long-lasting connection within the crypto communities.
Jason and Andrew have been friends for over 10 years, they have worked on multiple media projects over the years including video game teasers, music videos, and full-length films. Their biggest and most ambitious collaboration is The Vogu Collective project, together with Jason's artistic vision and Andrew's entrepreneurial skill they hope the project will stand the test of time.[1]

The features include special-ops function and planet adaptability, stylish looks best suited for black-tie security. The website states that this TARS is for badass with class.
Patricians Collection
This is the most expensive set of tars in the market, the exterior detailing includes rare gem and fine fabrics sourced from natural materials. The upgrades feature tech has currently not been approved by 21 of the 50 seeds.
According to the site, it is for the wealthiest of the wealthy, and referrals are required.[1]
Partnership
Metakey
The Vogu Collective and Metakey (NFT) announced an official partnership. Metakey being an NFT utility expert will help actualize The Vogu Collective’s future integrations and collaborations with virtual communities such as Decentraland and Sandbox.
Chainlink
Vogu Collective has integrated Chainlink Verifiable Random Function (VRF) on the Ethereum mainnet. By integrating Chainlink’s industry-leading decentralized oracle network, they have access to a tamper-proof and auditable source of randomness needed to verify the rarity of each NFT holder’s Vogu contract and artwork. This creates a more exciting, transparent, and fraud-proof user experience, as users can collect, trade, and sell their NFTs on the secondary markets with confidence in their smart contract’s validity, while also being able to use their individual NFTs to gain exclusive access to upcoming Vogu releases.[10]
In order to build and assign the collection of 7,777 unique art pieces, the Vogu team needed access to a secure random number generator (RNG) that any user could independently audit. However, RNG solutions for smart contracts required several security considerations to prevent manipulation and ensure system integrity. For instance, RNG solutions using on-chain data like block hashes can be exploited by blockchain miners, while off-chain RNG solutions like traditional data providers are opaque and don’t provide users with definitive proof about the integrity of the process.
After reviewing various solutions, they chose the Chainlink VRF because it is based on cutting-edge academic research, supported by Chainlink’s time-tested oracle infrastructure, and secured through the generation and on-chain verification of cryptographic proofs that guarantee the integrity of each random number supplied to smart contracts.[11]
Chainlink VRF works by combining block data that is still unknown when the request is made with the oracle node’s pre-committed private key to generate both a random number and a cryptographic proof. The Vogu Collective smart contract will only accept the random number input if it has valid cryptographic proof, and the cryptographic proof can only be generated if the VRF process is tamper-proof. This provides our users with automated and verifiable assurances directly on-chain that the Vogu NFT collection is provably fair and cannot be tampered with by the oracle, outside entities, or the Vogu Collective team.[11]
Others
Vogu has also partnered the Bored Ape Yacht Club and The Sandbox to boost the confidence of the community that from here on, things will be smooth sailing. Both BAYC and The Sandbox are NFT powerhouses and can bring along their engaged community and followers to the Vogu Metaverse.[12]
