Interviews
Production-Ready L1
In a March 2026 interview on the Crypto Coin Show, Liposky discussed Canopy’s approach to simplifying Web3 application deployment and addressing infrastructure barriers that remain despite growing interest in AI and blockchain development. He described Canopy as a “Replit for Web3,” providing templates and scaffolding to help developers build production-ready applications quickly, including those with limited technical experience. Liposky also explained Canopy’s use of application-specific chains, permissionless interoperability, and flexible security models that allow developers to maintain control while using shared security or operating with greater independence. He discussed Canopy’s native token and incentive structure while noting that individual chains can operate without their own tokens and can leave the ecosystem, reflecting the platform’s emphasis on flexible infrastructure and decentralized security. The interview also covered Canopy’s roadmap toward mainnet, improvements to onboarding and scalability, and efforts to make Web3 application deployment more accessible through its testnet and developer community. Next Gen Layer 1
In a December 2025 interview on the BlockHash Podcast, Liposky discussed his background in technology and cryptocurrency and how he developed Canopy as a platform that simplifies deploying scalable Layer 1 blockchains. He described his early interest in technology and gaming economies and his transition from traditional software development into cryptocurrency through projects including Pocket Network and Moonbeam, emphasizing curiosity and learning through experimentation. Liposky also discussed lessons from his work at Pocket Network, particularly around developer experience, performance, and security, which influenced Canopy’s focus on simplifying blockchain creation while supporting security and interoperability. He explained Canopy’s architecture, including nested chains and shared security models, and described a longer-term vision involving interconnected chains and dynamic security structures that could adapt to the needs of different applications and ecosystems. The discussion also covered Canopy’s plans for 2026, including its mainnet launch, developer and community engagement, participation in events such as ETHDenver, and efforts to develop applications and partnerships around the network.
