Odos Operating Company Announces Wind-Down of Operations

On July 23, 2026, the operating company behind Odos announced that it would wind down its operations and permanently discontinue all Odos services following an internal decision. The company stated that the Odos application would transition to read-only mode on July 27, 2026, before all services were permanently shut down on July 30, 2026. ^[12]

As part of the shutdown process, existing users were able to continue swapping assets and closing positions until the application entered read-only mode. However, the platform immediately disabled new account registrations, new wallet creation, and the placement of new limit orders.

Between July 27 and July 30, users retained read-only access to the application, allowing them to review transaction histories and wallet balances. After July 30, all Odos-operated services will be discontinued, with the company confirming there would be no further product development, customer support, or maintenance. ^[13]

The company emphasized that Odos is a non-custodial protocol, meaning user assets remained on-chain and under users’ control throughout the shutdown. Users who had created wallets using Odos’ social or email login features were instructed to either transfer their assets to another wallet or export their private keys before the July 30 shutdown. The company also stated that wallet access instructions would remain available through its official resources after the platform ceased operations.

Odos further clarified that the ODOS token exists independently on-chain and is not controlled, custodied, or market-made by the operating company. As a result, the company’s closure would not affect the token’s underlying on-chain mechanics.

The team also noted that the Odos DAO operates independently from the company and would communicate its own future plans separately. The announcement explicitly stated that it should not be interpreted as an indication of future protocol development. ^[13]

In addition, the company warned users about potential scams during the shutdown process.
