Sinan Koç is the Co-Founder and CEO of BiLira, an organization managing the first fiat-backed stable cryptocurrency pegged to the Turkish Lira.^[1][2][3]

Education

Sinan Koç pursued his undergraduate studies at The Koc School for 4 years. Subsequently, he earned a Bachelor's Degree in Entrepreneurial Studies and Finance from the University of Pennsylvania - The Wharton School in 2017.

Later, Sinan continued his education at the University of Pennsylvania, obtaining a Master's Degree in Business Administration.^[4][3]

Career

Together with Murat Firat, Sinan Koç co-founded BiLira in April 2019. The BiLira organization, operating as a joint-stock company under Turkish law, aims to broaden the access of Turkish citizens to the decentralized and peer-to-peer (P2P) global financial network using its fiat-backed price-stable cryptographic token, TRYB. Prior to this, he was the Head of Sourcing at ConsenSys Token Foundry from 2017 to 2019, marking his full immersion into the cryptocurrency realm.

In 2016, he co-founded Geld, a peer-to-peer payment application, and subsequently licensed it to Akbank in 2018.

In the same year, Sinan also co-founded Radius, a location-based messaging platform. Additionally, he gained internship experience at Deutsche Bank, again focusing on Capital Markets & Treasury Solutions, in 2014, and a similar internship at Global Investment Holdings in 2011. ^[3]
