DreamOS is a Web3 operating-system platform founded in 2022 by Daniel Altman, Dom Dosu, and Jack Kim. It is designed to simplify access to cryptocurrency through memorable usernames, a built-in decentralized application store, cross-chain transactions, and fiat on
DreamOS replaces complex public-key addresses with memorable usernames for account management. Its built-in decentralized application (DApp) store provides a unified interface for browsing and accessing applications across multiple blockchains. The platform also supports cross-chain transactions and fiat on-ramps and off-ramps.[1]
Dream offers downloads for iOS and Android. The company describes its product as a platform for trading cryptocurrency and options, and its website has called it “the fastest way to trade options.”[3][4]
Dream is a mobile-first options brokerage that aggregates quotes from institutional liquidity providers. Rather than using traditional options order books, the interface lets a user select an asset, strike price, and expiration date and receive a price for the trade. Expirations range from the same day to one year, with supported markets and contract sizes intended for both short-term trading and longer-term positions.[2]
The brokerage combines onchain wallet functionality with services for opening, managing, and closing options positions. Its options are cash-settled: at expiration, a user may receive a cash payout instead of delivery of the underlying asset.[2]
Dream announced that Dream V2 was live with options trading on BTC, ETH, SOL, HYPE, PUMP, LIT, and other assets. In its announcement, Dream described the service’s liquidity as institutional-grade and its interface as accessible to general users.[4]
DreamOS is based in Los Angeles. It raised $2.1 million in seed funding. Listed investors include Arca, Hack VC, Mantle Network, P2 Ventures, Karatage, Selini Capital, No Limit Holdings, Pentoshi, RookieXBT, Altcoin Sherpa, Elliot Wainman, WSBMod, and Psycho.[1]
Dream has said that it distributes 100,000 Dream Points each week; it announced the distribution of Week 3 points and the start of Week 4.[4]
In October 2026, Dream launched a trading challenge in which the first participant to grow $1,000 to $10,000 trading options on the platform would win $10,000. Dream reported that the challenge was completed in under 24 hours: trader bought HYPE $89 calls expiring that day for $990 and closed the position for $12,468. Dream reported the trade as a 12.6-fold return, or 1,182.61%.[4]
