Danny Park

Danny Park is a journalist and media professional with a background spanning cryptocurrency reporting, research, video journalism, and English-Korean interpretation. He is an East Asia Reporter at The Block, having previously worked as an Associate Producer and Research Associate at Forkast.News. ^[1]

Education

Park graduated from the University of Hong Kong with a Bachelor’s in Journalism and Marketing in 2021. ^[2]

Career

Park began his journalism career through internships in Hong Kong, Seoul, and Kunming between 2020 and 2021. He worked as an intern at APV in Hong Kong from March to May 2020, followed by an Intern Video Journalist role at Agence France-Presse in Seoul from June to August 2020. From December 2020 to January 2021, he worked as an Editorial Intern at GoKunming in Kunming, producing written and video content across the three markets. In February 2021, Park joined Forkast.News as a Research Associate and was promoted to Associate Producer in August of that year, a position he held until October 2023. Based in Hong Kong, he worked on the publication's content creation team and covered developments in technology, blockchain, and cryptocurrency, including the collapses of Terra-Luna and FTX during the 2022 crypto market downturn.

Park joined The Block as an East Asia Reporter in December 2023 and works remotely from Seoul, covering Web3 developments, cryptocurrency policy, regulation, and industry activity across East and Southeast Asia, with particular attention to South Korea and Japan. His reporting has included coverage of cryptocurrency legislation, stablecoin adoption, exchanges and corporate investments, and developments involving companies such as Dunamu, Upbit, and Coinone, as well as broader regulatory changes in Asian and U.S. markets. ^{[4] [5]}
