Career
Traditional Finance
Hom began his career in 2014 as a business development analyst at PIMCO, a global investment management firm. The following year, he moved to New York and joined RBC Capital Markets. During his four-year tenure there, from 2015 to 2019, he held several roles with increasing responsibility. He started as an investment banking analyst within the financial institutions group (FIG) before moving into the leveraged finance division, first as an analyst and later as an associate.
In 2019, Hom transitioned to the private credit sector, joining Siguler Guff & Company as a senior associate. At the multi-strategy private equity firm, his work centered on distressed assets, special situations, and tactical credit strategies. He remained in this role until 2021, at which point he joined Meridian Capital as a vice president, a position he held for approximately one year. [5]

In 2022, Hom pivoted his career into the blockchain and digital assets industry by joining Metaplex Studios. The organization is a key contributor to the Metaplex Protocol, a standard for creating and managing non-fungible tokens (NFTs) on the Solana blockchain. He initially served as a strategy and finance manager before taking on roles as director of business development and partnerships, and subsequently, head of business development and partnerships through 2023.
Following his time at Metaplex Studios, Hom joined the Metaplex Foundation, where he continued to lead partnership efforts as the head of business development and partnerships before being promoted to head of strategy. In 2026, he was appointed president of the Metaplex Foundation USA. In this position, he oversees the organization's overall strategy and operations.
