Education

Margie Feng attended the University of Southern California from 2017 to 2018, where she completed graduate studies in Journalism.

Before enrolling at the University of Southern California, Feng studied at Wake Forest University between 2013 and 2017. She earned a bachelor's degree in Communication with a concentration in Media, completed a double major in French, and obtained a minor in Journalism. During her undergraduate studies, she was a member of Lambda Pi Eta, served as president of the French Club, and held the role of Director of Public Relations for the Chinese Students and Scholars Association (CSSA).

In 2016, Feng participated in a study abroad program at the Institut de Touraine focused on French Language and Literature. As part of the program, she completed intensive French language coursework and studied French literature. [1] [2]

Career

Margie Feng's career has included roles in journalism, media production, public relations, and marketing in China and the United States.

Early Journalism and Media Roles

In 2014, Feng worked as a reporter and translator for Phoenix New Media (ifeng.com), where she researched, translated, and wrote articles related to intangible cultural heritage in China. She also participated in reporting assignments focused on traditional Chinese culture.

Between 2013 and 2017, she held journalism positions that included roles at the campus newspaper Old Gold & Black and Wake Forest Magazine. Her work involved conducting interviews, covering campus events and cultural topics, and preparing profile stories.

In 2017, Feng worked as a multimedia journalist for USC Annenberg Media. Her responsibilities included researching, reporting, filming, editing, and publishing news content.

From 2018 to 2019, she held positions at the USC School of Dramatic Arts, the Los Angeles Mayor’s Office, SBS (Seoul Broadcasting System), and Kore Asian Media. During this period, her work included video production, social media content creation, reporting, interviewing, and profile writing.

Think3 Brand Strategy Consultancy

Feng joined Think3 Brand Strategy Consultancy in June 2019 as an Account Executive. She worked on communication and public relations activities for BMW Group China, including drafting press materials, interview briefings, and bilingual communications. Her responsibilities also included monitoring media coverage, analyzing automotive market developments, and preparing communication-related materials.

Hill+Knowlton Strategies

In February 2021, Feng joined Hill+Knowlton Strategies as a Senior Account Executive. She later served as Consultant and Senior Consultant.

As Senior Account Executive, she worked with clients and internal teams on the Genesis Year One Campaign and supported interview, roundtable, and media-related activities.

As a Consultant, she managed the Genesis Motor China LinkedIn account and oversaw content planning, development, and publication. She also coordinated bilingual content production and participated in recruitment and onboarding activities.

After becoming Senior Consultant in October 2021, Feng worked on public relations planning, communication strategies, media relations, and risk management planning. She also supervised the preparation of press materials and account management activities. During this period, she was involved in the Genesis Year One Campaign.

BITMAIN

From July 2022 to October 2024, Feng served as Public Relations Manager at .

Her responsibilities included managing social media accounts and working with research and development and business development teams on marketing-related activities. She also maintained communication with organizations including the , Dogecoin Foundation, and Filecoin Foundation.

During her tenure, Feng attended and presented at industry events, including Handycon 2023 and the Bitcoin Energy Summit. She organized and hosted Twitter Spaces related to sales campaigns and proof-of-work topics and participated in the organization of the World Digital Mining Summit in 2022 and 2023.
