Verified Emeralds (VEREM) is a real-world-asset token project centered on certified physical emeralds and a blockchain-based ecosystem.[1][2]

VEREM’s stated purpose is to connect certified emeralds with a blockchain-based token ecosystem. Project materials describe a reserve-and-token model in which documented emeralds are held in custody and VEREM is used within the ecosystem.[3][7]
A February 6, 2026, BingX Learn article reported that VEREM had moved from concept to a functional marketplace in 2025. The article described Alberi Holding as managing mines and Domus Giulia as handling technical minting.[6]
BingX’s official notice scheduled VEREM deposits to open on February 1, 2026, at 13:00 UTC, and VEREM/USDT trading to begin on February 2, 2026, at 15:00 UTC. The notice specified BEP20 and warned that the actual opening time could differ depending on deposit requirements.[11] On August 7, 2026, BingX announced that it had suspended VEREM deposits and would delist VEREM/USDT on August 10, 2026, at 03:00 UTC. Withdrawals were scheduled to be permanently suspended on November 9, 2026, at 16:00 UTC.[13]
Hacken finalized its security analysis of the BNB Smart Chain contract on March 5, 2026, following a preliminary report dated March 3. VEREM announced the audit on March 14, 2026.[5][10]
The VEREM RWA site describes a five-stage strategic plan: institutional structuring and infrastructure preparation; launch and initial liquidity; progressive DAO activation; sustainability work through VEREM Planet; and expansion of liquidity, listings, and governance. These are stated as planned stages.[7]
A separate roadmap on the project website lists Phase I and II activities including white-paper completion, blockchain development and certification, partner prospecting, a viability study, a private presale, and formation of the DAO and Foundation. Its later Phase IV–VI items include a public launch sale, green-mining projects, digital-mine access, NFT launches, exchange listings, design-forum development, and virtual-gem treasure hunts. The roadmap presents these as planned activities; its references to a private presale and public launch sale do not document that either sale occurred.[3]
The identifiable audited VEREM token is a Solidity ERC-20 contract deployed on BNB Smart Chain, with BEP-20 identified as the network standard in BingX’s listing notice. Hacken’s March 2026 report assesses this contract; the report records a total supply of 50 million tokens, an initial supply minted to the deployer, and no further minting function.[5][11]
The audited contract has 18 decimal places. At deployment, transfers were disabled; the owner could enable trading once, and could designate accounts permitted to transfer before that change. Hacken reported that ownership of the deployed BNB Smart Chain contract had been renounced.[5]
The project website describes VEREM as issued on The Open Network (TON), whereas Hacken’s assessment concerns a VEREM contract on BNB Smart Chain.[3][5]
BingX Learn reported that the project planned a dedicated VER Blockchain to support real-world-asset activity. This is a project proposal, not a description of a launched blockchain.[6]
Hacken’s security analysis of the BNB Smart Chain contract was finalized on March 5, 2026, following a preliminary report dated March 3. The review recorded two accepted observations: missing NatSpec documentation and a redundant override of the decimals() function. It also reported missing functional requirements and technical descriptions, an unconfigured development environment, and zero-percent code coverage with no test cases provided.[5]
The report highlighted risks associated with the initial supply being concentrated in one address, the ability of excluded accounts to transfer before general trading was enabled, and reliance on a limited number of privileged roles and operational processes. It recommended considering emergency controls for critical actions and pausing activity when irregular behavior is detected.[5]
In an announcement on March 14, 2026, VEREM said the audit found no critical or high-severity vulnerabilities and characterized the minor findings as intentional design decisions. CoinGecko’s displayed GoPlus warning says the contract creator can make changes such as disabling sales, changing fees, minting tokens, or transferring tokens; Hacken’s report states that ownership of the audited BNB Smart Chain contract had been renounced.[10][4][5]
VEREM Planet is the project’s sustainability initiative. Its stated priorities include responsible mining, renewable energy, and environmental-impact reporting, with the DAO described as a forum for setting sustainability priorities. A February 2026 account refers to work involving electric mining equipment and biodiversity conservation.[7][4][6]
Project materials describe digital products in development, including Verland World, Fox Underground for virtual tours of mining and processing facilities, and Fashion Street Game, where users could design virtual jewelry and vote on community designs. Other proposed activities include an emerald-backed non-fungible token (NFT) marketplace, treasure hunts, and Verem City simulations, with VEREM intended for participation or rewards.[6][3]
An earlier project site proposed Verem Interactive Platforms offering events, games, videos, and merchandise, with VEREM intended as ecosystem currency. The site described a goal of developing green emerald-mining operations and reducing the social and environmental impacts of extraction.[3]
VEREM materials describe emeralds as independently certified, documented, appraised, and held in secure custody for the VEREM Foundation. The project identifies Gemological Institute of America (GIA) evaluation certificates, proof of origin, and custody documentation as components of its verification process.[3][4][5]
The verem.org site says VEREM tokens are minted and guaranteed against emeralds held in vaults.[3] BingX Learn describes each token as an interest in certified emeralds.[6] CoinGecko characterizes VEREM as ecosystem participation rather than direct fractional ownership of the stones.[4] CoinMarketCap describes it as a utility asset and says there is no one-to-one token-to-gemstone redemption model.[1]
The project describes GIA evaluation certificates, proof of origin, and custody documents as verification records. CoinMarketCap says VEREM’s price is market-driven and that the project does not rely on interest, yield generation, or algorithmic price stabilization. The VEREM RWA site describes a “Strategic Protocol Reserve” intended to support resilience and risk mitigation, while CoinGecko also describes the asset as pegged to emerald value; these descriptions do not establish fixed price parity with the reserve.[3][7][1][4]
The audited BNB Smart Chain token can be transferred and traded. Project materials also describe governance participation, subject to Foundation rules. Access to proposed platforms, rewards, and other future ecosystem uses are described as intended or planned uses rather than established token functions.[5][8][6][3]
CoinMarketCap and CoinGecko list total and maximum supplies of 50 million VEREM and a circulating supply of 2.5 million. Hacken’s March 2026 report records a 50-million-token supply for the audited contract, with the initial supply minted to the deployer and no additional mint function.[1][2][5]
Separately, the project website proposes a supply of 1 billion VEREM, allocated to a Foundation reserve (20%), programs and a green initiative (15%), security and legal work (10%), operations (45%), and DAO infrastructure (10%).[3] Hacken reports that the audited contract’s initial supply was minted to the deployer and has no further minting function.[5]
Hacken reports that the audited contract’s initial supply was minted to the deployer and that the contract has no further minting function. BingX Learn reports a 24-month cliff for founder allocations.[5][6]
The VEREM Foundation is the project’s institutional organization. Its stated responsibilities include strategic direction, ecosystem support, education, partnerships, and operational support for implementing decisions made through the VEREM DAO. The Foundation also says it safeguards emeralds held in custody for designated purposes within the project.[8]
The project places the Foundation in Abu Dhabi and describes its institutional framework as operating through Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM). Its materials present the Foundation’s role as combining institutional oversight of physical assets with community participation in project decisions.[8][9][4]
Project materials say eligible holders may submit proposals and vote on strategic matters, including institutional structuring and expansion. A BingX Learn article says proposal submission requires a minimum balance and describes DAO subject areas including mining partnerships, the DAO Treasury, social programs in mining regions, and sustainability reporting. The project says service fees apply to transactions and governance participation.[4][6]
The project lists Francisco Castro as chief executive officer, Marcel Perez as chief financial officer, and Mayro Colnago as platform development director. Project materials describe Castro as having more than 25 years of leadership experience, Perez as active in cryptocurrency since 2013, and Colnago as having experience in software engineering, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence.[7][4]
