2024 Edition

Coinfest Asia, the largest Web3 festival in Asia, will take place in Nuanu City, Bali, on August 22-23, 2024. The third edition of this festival aims to foster Web3 adoption in Asia, under the theme "Where Innovation Meets Adoption." ^[1]

According to Felita Setiawan, Director of Indonesia Crypto Network, the parent company of Coinfest Asia, "Where Innovation Meets Adoption" signifies that Coinfest Asia will serve as a hub for both industry and retail, facilitating broader Web3 adoption. The event offers opportunities for the industry to expand its ecosystem in the increasingly crypto-friendly Asian region and for retail investors to discover quality Web3 projects.

Coinfest Asia is anticipated to draw over 6,000 participants globally, featuring more than 150 prominent figures in the Web3 ecosystem.

Among the notable speakers at Coinfest Asia 2024 are Mo Shaikh (Co-founder and CEO of Aptos), Wei Zhou (CEO of Coins.ph), Oleg Fomenko (Co-founder of Sweat Economy), and Justin Sun (Founder of Tron).

Coinfest Asia 2023, Asia’s grandest festival celebrating blockchain, Web3, and digital assets, took place in Bali, Indonesia, from August 24th to August 25th. This edition focused on the regulation of cryptocurrency and the integration of blockchain into the real economy. A key theme was merging Web2 and Web3 to attract mass users by simplifying user experiences, such as through custodial wallets and social media authentication. The event also addressed the benefits and risks of crypto-assets, regulatory issues, and institutional implementation strategies, with an emphasis on creating user-friendly “super-Dapps” for instant cryptocurrency exchange into national currencies, particularly stablecoins tied to the Indonesian rupiah. ^[5]

Coinfest Asia 2022 was held in Bali, Indonesia. The conference attracted over 2000 attendees from 52 countries. Attendees ranged from industry leaders to newcomers interested in blockchain technology. This edition featured over 80 speakers from renowned companies. These experts shared insights on topics like blockchain technology advancements, regulatory developments, and the future of digital currencies.
