dKargo

dKargo is an -compatible built on the network. Initially conceived as a platform to address inefficiencies in the traditional logistics industry, it has evolved into a general-purpose L3 infrastructure. The platform supports standard functionalities, such as deployment and web3.js integration, while aiming to provide lower transaction costs and faster execution speeds. [1] [2]

Overview

The dKargo project was founded by Deleo, a South Korean IT company specializing in cross-border logistics, with the mission to build a blockchain-based platform to address trust and efficiency issues within the global logistics industry. The initial goal was to use technology and a token-based economy to connect fragmented participants and create a transparent, reliable, and collaborative logistics network. By providing a single, tamper-proof source of truth for logistics data, the project aimed to solve common problems related to data silos and a lack of credibility between parties. [5]

To better serve this vision and support a broader range of applications, the project evolved its technical strategy, launching its Layer 3 mainnet on September 19, 2025. It transitioned from a conceptual platform on the mainnet to a dedicated built using the Orbit framework. This strategic pivot allows dKargo to leverage the scaling capabilities of technology, which in turn inherits its security from the network. The L3 architecture is designed to offer significantly higher throughput and lower , making it more practical for the high-volume transactions typical in logistics and other . While its primary focus remains on logistics, the -compatible infrastructure is open for general-purpose development, capable of hosting in sectors like and . The platform's ecosystem is built on three core systems: dOPTIM (logistics services), DATA LAB (data verification), and dHUB (DAO governance). [7] [3] [4] [[2] [1]](#cite-id-sDjdTN1p9jPbrMac)

Technology and Architecture

Layer 3 on Arbitrum

dKargo operates as a Layer 3 blockchain, or "AppChain," built using the Orbit framework. This framework allows for the creation of customizable blockchains that settle their transactions to an Layer 2 chain, such as One or Nova. This hierarchical structure enables dKargo to offload transaction processing from the more congested and expensive Layer 1 () and Layer 2 networks. [2] [3]

Data Availability Model (AnyTrust)

dKargo utilizes AnyTrust data availability technology. AnyTrust chains operate with a Data Availability Committee (DAC). This committee assumes responsibility for storing transaction data and providing it upon request. This model significantly reduces transaction costs because data is not posted on-chain by default, only the hash of the data is. [6] [3]

EVM Compatibility

The dKargo chain is fully compatible with the . This is a crucial feature that lowers the barrier to entry for developers, as it allows for the seamless migration and deployment of existing -based and without requiring code modifications. Developers can use the standard development toolchain, including:

  • Smart Contract Development: Frameworks such as Hardhat, Foundry, and the Remix IDE for writing, compiling, and deploying contracts in .
  • Web3 Integration: Libraries like web3.js and ethers.js for building front-end applications that interact with the dKargo .[1] [4]

Tokenomics

dKargo’s native token, $DKA, is issued as an asset on the network and has a fixed maximum and total supply of 5 billion DKA

The token is available for trading on several , including , , , Gate.io, and , as well as like on . [1] [2]

Token Utility and Governance

  • Medium of Exchange: Facilitates transactions and serves as a payment method for logistics services within the dKargo ecosystem.
  • Staking: Used for by validators to secure the network and earn rewards.
  • Governance: $DKA token holders can participate in the governance of the network, such as proposing and voting on protocol changes and improvements through the dHUB portal. [1] [2]
