YZi Labs (formally known as Binance Labs) is a social impact fund established by Binance. It is an initiative to invest, incubate, and resource blockchain and cryptocurrency projects, entrepreneurs, and communities. It was rebranded to YZi Labs in January 2025 [1] [4]
Overview
YZi Labs runs the Incubation Program, a chain-agnostic program that aims to empower innovative projects to shape the future of Web. As Binance’s venture capital and incubation arm, YZi Labs created the program to meet founder needs, using extensive resources across the entire Binance ecosystem and crypto industry. The Incubation Program is an 8-week curriculum designed for top-tier founders.[3]

Binance Labs Rebrand to YZi Labs
On January 23, 2025, Binance Labs announced its rebrand to YZi Labs. [5]

Under this rebranding, Changpeng Zhao will continue to play a pivotal role in investment activities, directly engaging with founders and offering mentorship and coaching. His hands-on approach highlights YZi Labs’ commitment to adding value to the industry and providing founders with opportunities to grow with the support of a respectable leader in the field.
Further strengthening YZi Labs' leadership, Ella Zhang returns as Head of YZi Labs. Together with CZ, Ella launched Binance Labs in 2018, where she served as its first head.
During her tenure, she spearheaded the first three batches of the Incubation Program, supporting over 40 startups including Polygon, Injective Protocol, CertiK, Dune Analytics, Kava, SafePal, Elrond, and Nym. Ella stepped away in 2020 to pursue entrepreneurial ventures. Now returning to lead YZi Labs, Ella brings her deep investment expertise with a founder-focused perspective to steer the firm's next phase of growth. [4]

YZi Builders Fund
On October 8, 2025, YZi Labs announced a $1 billion builder fund to deepen its commitment to founders in the BNB Ecosystem, especially on BNB Chain. The fund is designed to support early-stage founders by providing them with capital, mentorship, and resources to build impactful solutions. The initiative invites builders to focus on BNB-based innovations in sectors including Trading, RWA, AI, DeSci, DeFi, Payments, and Wallets, allowing them to leverage BNB Chain's infrastructure and access its large user ecosystem. On January 6, 2026, YZi Labs and CertiK established a $1M audit grant program for all participants in the EASY Residency incubation initiative.

YZi Labs Doubles Down on Predict.fun with Susquehanna Crypto Following EASY Residency S2
YZi Labs announced a strategic follow-on investment in Predict.fun, a crypto-native prediction market platform, following its participation in the EASY Residency Season 2 incubation program.
The round also included Susquehanna Crypto, a global digital asset trading firm, signaling strong institutional interest in the continued development of on-chain prediction markets. The investment reflects YZi Labs’ growing conviction in the sector and in Predict.fun’s rapid post-incubation growth. [8]
Since graduating from EASY Residency, Predict.fun has recorded significant traction, including over $1.8 billion in cumulative trading volume, more than 4 million orders matched, and a user base exceeding 130,000. The platform has also introduced mechanisms to improve capital efficiency by integrating decentralized finance (DeFi), enabling idle collateral to generate yield and supporting more effective liquidity utilization. The company’s growth was further strengthened by its acquisition of Probable, a prediction market project previously incubated by PancakeSwap and YZi Labs.
This integration expands Predict.fun’s distribution, particularly in Asian markets, and reinforces its position within the BNB Chain ecosystem. The broader prediction market industry has also experienced rapid expansion, with reported volumes reaching $64 billion in 2025 and projections indicating continued growth.
YZi Labs will continue to support Predict.fun through its global network, ecosystem access, and strategic guidance, while Susquehanna Crypto will contribute to improving market liquidity and efficiency.
