Jadoodoo (자두두)
Jadoodoo (자두두), is a South Korean cryptocurrency trader and YouTuber known for broadcasting Bitcoin and Ethereum futures trades live and for viral short-form videos.[1] She first encountered cryptocurrency in 2021 and later built a following by streaming leveraged futures positions and showing reactions to wins and liquidations.[2]
Her YouTube channel, "자두두 Jadoodoo," grew from around 50,000 subscribers before a January 2024 television appearance to roughly 200,000 by August 2026, making her one of the more recognizable figures among female cryptocurrency-trading streamers in South Korea.[3][2]
Early Life and Background
Jadoodoo was born in Daegu, South Korea. She graduated from an all-girls high school and from an engineering college.[1]
In early 2020 she worked as a company employee earning a monthly salary of 1.9 million won, and she has said she saved 10 million won by setting aside 1 million won from her pay each month, capital she later used to enter the cryptocurrency spot market.[1] During this period her father underwent cancer surgery and reportedly suffered a medical accident, a family hardship she has cited as part of her motivation to make money quickly through trading.[1][2]
Entry into Cryptocurrency Trading
Jadoodoo began interacting with cryptocurrency in 2021, first through Ripple (XRP).[4] In February 2021, she has said, Ripple plunged roughly 40% in a short span and she lost about half of the money she had saved over a year while holding XRP spot, after which she began mobile live-streaming to talk about her situation.[1] During the 2021 upswing in crypto markets, when Dogecoin reached 800 won, her broadcasts grew and she became a full-time investor and streamer, averaging about 800 viewers on AfreecaTV.[1]
By around May 2021, according to her own account, she held roughly 30 million won in seed from spot profits and broadcast income before a Bitcoin crash largely depleted her account and led her to step away from spot trading. She then moved her remaining roughly 8 million won into futures, studied the Relative Strength Index (RSI) and Elliott Wave techniques, and, by her account, grew that capital to about 100 million won.[1] After a period of repeated scalping during what she describes as a sideways market, she held a Cardano (ADA) short around September 2021; ADA hit record highs and her entire position was liquidated, erasing the roughly 100 million won.[1]
As of recent reporting, Jadoodoo trades only cryptocurrency futures, concentrating on Ethereum, which she has said she considers to have lower volatility among major contracts while retaining high liquidity, allowing her to preserve her trading capital and stream for longer.[2]
YouTube Channel and Content
Jadoodoo's channel content falls into several formats: live futures-trading streams where she publicly shows entries, exits, profit-taking, and stop-losses; short-form clips featuring dramatic reactions; and post-trade reviews that explain strategies using trendline analysis and candidly discuss bad trades.[2] She has said she began streaming to show her trading process transparently and to be open about both wins and losses.[2]
Television Appearance
Jadoodoo appeared on KBS Joy's program "무엇이든 물어보살" ("Ask Anything") on January 1, 2024, a broadcast that publicly revealed her appearance to a wider audience.[4] On the program she said that because of cryptocurrency investment she skipped meals and spent entire days watching monitors, and she disclosed that part of her motivation to make money quickly was to protect her family after her father's cancer diagnosis and the hardship her parents faced.[5][2] Following the appearance her YouTube subscriber count grew from 50,000 to 100,000.[2] She has said of the experience, "내가 방송에 출연하면서 처음으로 제 속마음을 꺼내면서 왜 그렇게 코인에 빠졌는지 잘 알게 됐다" ("Appearing on the show and opening up for the first time helped me understand why I fell so deeply into crypto").[2]
Frontier Traders
Jadoodoo appeared as one of several retail futures traders on the Korean crypto trading survival program Frontier Traders, which follows contestants in cryptocurrency futures challenges with real-time performance under time limits and on-air risk controls.[1] During the Frontier Perps / Frontier Traders trading competition in Seoul, she advanced through the early rounds and, in the semifinal, opened a 25x leveraged long position on the NEAR token and locked in around $40,000 in profit on that single trade.[6] [7] Real-time coverage and social posts tracked the moment as she climbed the event leaderboard, with commentators highlighting both the size of the profit and the high leverage used.[7] [8] She ultimately lost in the final round and finished as runner-up.[8]
Philanthropy
Jadoodoo donated earnings from her YouTube activity to medical expenses for low-income cancer patients. At the end of 2023 she reportedly donated 13 million won — described as all of her YouTube income — to Chilgok Kyungpook National University Hospital, the hospital where her father had surgery, for cancer patients.[1][2]
