Stablecoin Summit
Stablecoin Summit is an annual, one-day conference on stablecoin adoption, innovation, and financial infrastructure held in Singapore. First staged in 2023, it is organised and hosted by XREX Group, a blockchain-enabled financial institution, in partnership with the Singapore-based event agency Party Action People, and is scheduled each year to coincide with TOKEN2049, one of Asia's largest crypto industry gatherings.[1] The summit is billed as "Asia's premier event for stablecoin innovation" and is directed at enterprises and financial institutions engaged in high-volume cross-border payments, with programming centred on real-world use cases, trustless transactions, transparency, and security.[2]
The fourth edition, Stablecoin Summit 2026, is set for 8 October 2026 at Andaz Singapore and is expected to draw more than 600 attendees and over 30 speakers drawn from stablecoin issuers, banks, payment providers, asset managers, institutions, regulators, and policymakers.[1]
Overview
The Stablecoin Summit convenes government representatives, institutions, fintech leaders, and blockchain developers around the practical use of stablecoins — digital tokens designed to hold a steady value, typically pegged to a fiat currency such as the U.S. dollar. Across its editions the event has consistently emphasised applied topics: how stablecoins reshape cross-border payments, enterprise and business-to-business finance, compliance and regulation, and adoption across Asia and other emerging markets.[3] The format combines keynotes, panels, fireside chats, technical deep dives, and institutional networking.[3]
Singapore has been positioned by the organisers as the natural home for the event in the Asia-Pacific region. XREX Group has described the city as having built one of Asia's deepest regulated stablecoin markets, citing that Singapore was ranked the world's most crypto-friendly city in 2026, that it hosts 37 licensed digital payment token firms, and that the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) has led Project BLOOM, an initiative testing stablecoins for domestic and cross-border settlement.[4] Zachary John, founder and CEO of Party Action People, characterised the summit's role as connecting "the institutions, fintech firms and stablecoin issuers moving the money of tomorrow," and said Singapore's status as a banking hub, regional headquarters, and home to millions of workers made it a natural venue for the APAC stablecoin conversation.[1]
Stablecoin Summit 2026
XREX Group announced the fourth edition from Singapore on 10 September 2026, describing the summit as gathering leading voices and decision-makers shaping the future of stablecoin adoption, innovation, and financial infrastructure.[1] The event is scheduled for 8 October 2026 at Andaz Singapore during TOKEN2049; a PR Newswire release also carried a conflicting date of September 8, 2026, but the event site and the official announcement give 8 October 2026.[4][2] The listed discussion topics are institutional adoption, the development of new stablecoin models and currencies, cross-border financial infrastructure, and the regulatory and trust frameworks needed to scale the industry.[1]
Wayne Huang, co-founder and Group CEO of XREX Group, said of the 2026 edition that "stablecoins have become an independent industry, and we are witnessing it move toward a trillion-dollar market," adding that as blockchain finance and traditional finance converge, interoperability across stablecoins will become increasingly important.[1] Winston Hsiao, co-founder and Group CRO of XREX Group, said that the evolution of the summit's speakers and participants — "from crypto-native players to banks, financial institutions and regulators" — reflected the movement of stablecoins into mainstream finance.[1]

Format and Programming
The 2026 programme is structured as 32 sessions running through 8 October at Andaz Singapore, mixing short vendor keynotes with longer moderated panels and fireside chats.[5] The day opens with a keynote by Wayne Huang, "Stablecoins as Digital Bearer Money — Stablecoin's Core Innovation and Full Potential," followed by panels on reinventing banking with stablecoins, cross-border payments and international settlement, and the compliance stack for stablecoins. Later sessions address institutional access to DeFi yields, on-chain foreign exchange, deep and stable liquidity for a global stablecoin system, and the choice of blockchain infrastructure for stablecoin adoption at scale. A fireside chat titled "Anchorage x Tether" pairs Anchorage Digital co-founder and CEO Nathan McCauley with Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino and Anchorage's Sergio Mello, and a session on Singapore's regulatory stance toward stablecoins is led by Coinbase's Hassan Ahmed.[5]
Past Editions
2025 — Third Edition
Stablecoin Summit Singapore 2025, the third edition, took place on 2 October 2025 at Andaz Singapore, again running alongside TOKEN2049. It was hosted by XREX Group and the Unitas Foundation and co-hosted by Anchorage Digital, with title sponsors Curve, Katana, and Scroll and additional support from Polygon, SAP, and Curve.[3] Highlighted speakers included Friedrich K. (advisor, Bank for International Settlements), Wayne Huang, Paul Brody (global blockchain leader, EY), Tushar Gulhane (RVP, SAP Asia Pacific Japan), Ashok Venkateswaran (VP digital assets and stablecoins, Mastercard), Parag Monteiro (head of digital asset platforms, Standard Chartered), Marc Boiron (CEO, Polygon Labs), Michael Egorov (founder, Curve), Angelina Kwan (CEO, Stratford Finance), Alice Truong (VP, head of digital assets, Nuvei), and Sergio Mello (head of stablecoins, Anchorage Digital). The organisers also announced participation from Circle, Worldpay, Sony Ventures, S&P Global, and Coinbase.[3]
The 2025 announcement framed the year as an inflection point for stablecoin adoption, citing figures that stablecoins had crossed $27 trillion in annual transaction volume and processed between $20 billion and $30 billion in on-chain transactions per day — described as less than 1% of global money movement — and projecting that circulating supply could reach $2 trillion by 2028.[3] It pointed to the U.S. GENIUS Act and the European Union's Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) regulation as signs of institutional recognition of stablecoins. Wayne Huang argued that U.S. dollar stablecoins had become the preferred way to access dollars across many emerging markets and increasingly functioned as money, with small and medium-sized enterprises holding and paying in stablecoins end-to-end rather than converting back to bank deposits.[3]
2024 — Second Edition
Stablecoin Summit 2024, the second edition, returned to Singapore during TOKEN2049 week and was organised by XREX Inc. and the Unitas Foundation and co-hosted by First Digital, a provider of custodial, trust, payments, and stablecoin solutions and the issuer of First Digital USD (FDUSD).[6] The event was built around five topic areas: innovating cross-border payments, empowering emerging markets, the impact of stablecoins and central bank digital currencies (CBDCs) on global finance, enhancing stability through tokenisation of real-world assets, and institutional DeFi and stablecoins.[6]
Speakers and participating organisations spanned stablecoin issuers and DeFi protocols — including Circle, Paxos, FDUSD, Ethena, and FRAX — alongside leaders from Aave, Stellar, Celo, Truflation, and Coinbase, and enterprises that move trillions of dollars globally such as Tazapay, SAP, and Worldpay. Named individual speakers included Austin Campbell, an NYU Stern professor who has advised global banks and governments on stablecoins, and Raagulan Pathy, co-founder of KAST.[6] Wayne Huang said stablecoins had achieved "an undeniable product-market fit" thanks to greater maturity in regulatory technology and compliance standards, while Vincent Chok, founder and CEO of First Digital, cited Singapore's position as an international financial hub as the reason for co-hosting. The organisers reported that the inaugural edition had attracted more than 300 attendees, including founders from top stablecoins, DeFi protocols, and Singaporean institutions.[6]
2023 — Inaugural Edition
The inaugural Stablecoin Summit was held at Raffles Hotel Singapore on 15 September 2023, jointly hosted by XREX and the Unitas Foundation and staged on the heels of TOKEN2049.[7] The event explored the potential of stablecoins in fintech, cross-border, and business-to-business payments and was staged shortly after MAS unveiled its stablecoin regulatory framework. Its topics ranged across the design and use cases of stablecoins, cross-border payments, compliance and regulation, tokenised Treasury bills and other real-world assets, real-world adoption, the impact on banking, and incentivising institutional adoption. Association partners included the Blockchain Association Singapore and the Taiwan Fintech Association.[7]
The debut edition drew speakers including Paolo Ardoino (then chief technology officer of Tether), Yam Ki Chan (vice president, strategy and policy, Circle), Lennix Lai (global chief commercial officer, OKX), Cynthia Wu (co-founder and COO, Matrixport), Timothy Lui (vice president of private capital markets, ADDX), Stephan Lutz (CEO, BitMEX), Aishwary Gupta (global head of payments, Polygon Labs), and Hassan Ahmed (country director, Singapore, Coinbase).[8] During a fireside chat with Wayne Huang, Ardoino previewed Tether Gold (XAUt), a token he described as 100% backed by physical gold in Switzerland, saying he expected it to be an important product in the years ahead.[8] Winston Hsiao, co-founder and board member of the Unitas Foundation, used the summit to unveil the Unitas Protocol, telling attendees that "currency thrives when freedom and competition unite."[8] Following the event, XREX and the Unitas Foundation announced, "by popular demand," that they would hold a second summit in 2024.[8]
Organisers and Partners
The summit has been hosted by XREX Group across all four editions. Founded in 2018, XREX is a blockchain-enabled financial institution that works with banks, regulators, and users, providing services to businesses in or dealing with emerging markets and novice-friendly financial services to individuals worldwide. Its offering spans digital asset custody, wallets, cross-border payment, fiat-crypto conversion, cryptocurrency exchange, and fiat currency on
- and off-ramps.[4] XREX Singapore operates under a Major Payment Institution (MPI) licence issued by MAS, a status Winston Hsiao said gives the group "a firsthand view of how regulation, technology and business needs are converging around stablecoins."[4] XREX Taiwan is a regulated virtual asset service provider (VASP) that completed its anti-money-laundering compliance declaration with Taiwan's Financial Supervisory Commission (FSC) in March 2022 and passed its AML registration with the FSC in September 2025, becoming one of ten approved VASPs.[1]
Party Action People, a Singapore-based event agency, has been the key event partner of the summit since its inception and has produced it since the first edition in 2023. Operating since 2021, the agency's portfolio also includes Stable Summit (launched in Paris in 2023), Vault Summit, Agentic Finance Day, and the Blockchain Oracle Summit. Past speakers across its events have come from Tether, Anchorage Digital, EY, Mastercard, PayPal, Western Union, Curve, MakerDAO, Circle, and Frax.[1]
The Unitas Foundation co-hosted the 2023, 2024, and 2025 editions. It is the team behind the Unitas Protocol, which defines a category it calls unitized stablecoins — tokens that serve as units of account representing emerging market currencies and are over-reserved with exogenous USD stablecoins such as USDT, USDC, and Dai, so that their value is secured by the underlying dollar stablecoins.[6] Individual editions have added further co-hosts: First Digital in 2024 and Anchorage Digital in 2025. Anchorage Digital, founded in 2017 in San Francisco, operates the federally chartered Anchorage Digital Bank N.A. and is funded by institutions including Andreessen Horowitz, GIC, Goldman Sachs, KKR, and Visa, with a Series D valuation reported at over $3 billion.[3]
